I was really excited about this product as I love some other SheaMoisture products. So I ordered the SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Reparative Leave-In Conditioner from amazon.
However, as a leave in conditioner, it just did not work for me! I have very, very thin hair, and even a pea sized amount just weighed down my hair and turned it into a complete grease ball.
But with such a huge jar it was a shame to not use it, so I began to use it as a hair mask. I put a significant amount in dry hair and let it sit for 30 – 60 minutes then wash it out with shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair silky soft!
So for me as a leave-in not so much, but as a mask yes, please. Three stars overall.
I swear by this stuff!!

I use their pure Jamaican Black Castor Oil for my brows and lashes, and the results are remarkable. Only been using it for a few months and my brows have filled in the sparse areas and lashes are longer than ever before. Never tried this particular product, but I’d like to. I’m pretty set on the leave-in conditioner I use now, but I think using it as a mask is a pretty creative idea. Although, I probably wouldn’t have any problem using it as a leave-in because I have very thick, ethnic hair, so I can use pretty much all their products with no problem, luckily! 🙂
