How I regrew my hair: Part 2

So a while ago I posted by far my most popular post ever, how I regrew my hair. You can check that one out for the full story there, but to sum it all up; in college, I lost nearly half of my hair due to very severe anemia. After finally finding a doctor that would take this serious I got my iron levels right but then was left to figure out how to regrow what I had lost and protect what I had left.

I gave my best tips for the regrowth there but I decided to show some other updates that have helped me back to optimal hair health! Through lots of trial and error here are some new things I’ve added to the routine I still follow from my first post!

Below is an updated photo, makes me almost emotional, I’ve come so far!

Olaplex no3-min

First up, is the holy grail of grails; Olaplex No 3. I have a full review on this miracle in a bottle you can find, here.

And now Sephora sells it! Literally shirked with joy when that news hit my inbox! It really does live up to the cult following it has. It leaves my hair feeling amazing and healthy. Got to keep the old hair and new growth as healthy as possible! I do this once a week and leave it in for a few hours, it has made a huge difference! It literally creates new bonds in your hair, such a fan!

SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil

So I usually use this on my lashes if I don’t have eyelash extensions, but I’ve recently started using it as a mask as well in between my Olaplex treatments.

Castor oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties and is high in Vitamin E, minerals, proteins, and Omegas. It has helped my scalp health and I’ve noticed a lot of baby hairs on my hairline since incorporating this into my routine! I even use it on my brows!

Pure Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides

I recently mentioned this stuff in my last favorites post, but I have to also just mention how much it’s helped my hair, skin, and nails! I really feel like it has helped my hair grow and the hair health overall! I highly recommend this supplement!

I mix it with some bone broth or hot coffee in the morning, it mixes super well and you can’t taste it!

Boar Bristle Brush

This brush is super gentle on my hair and scalp, and when it’s greasy it helps distribute the oil to the ends that need it. I use a wide tooth comb on wet hair and then this on dry hair. It leaves me super silky smooth!

So this has been my part 2! I’ll keep doing trial and error till I can get you all a part 3! Have you tried any of these products? What are your holy grail hair products? Let me know below!
